TRE is a simple technique to release stress or tension from the body that accumulates from everyday circumstances of life, difficult situations, immediate or prolonged stressful situations, or traumatic life experiences (natural disasters, social or domestic violence, etc.) Using seven yoga-like exercises, TRE helps to release deep tension from the body by evoking self-controlled muscular shaking. The process is unique in that this shaking originates deep in the core of the body, with gentle tremors that reverberate outward along the spine, releasing tension from all areas of the body.

My journey with TRE started in 2012. Within one week of using TRE, I found it was healing my own early childhood trauma. TRE became my holy grail in curing a lifetime of anxiety. By far, TRE has been the most powerful therapy I’ve found since I began searching in the seventies. TRE uses the body’s own innate, built-in method of healing trauma. Once I discovered how powerful this body-oriented therapy was, I decided to become certified to teach. After achieving level I certification in 2013, I then completed level II (to teach groups) in 2015. I’ve trained in-person with the founder of TRE, Dr. David Berceli, attending eight of David’s training workshops. Now that I’m retired, my mission is to continue teaching/promoting TRE.
